International Mediation Tournament
Loyola co-sponsors the International Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR) International Law School Mediation Tournament every other year.. More than 350 mediators, judges, coaches, and students attend the four days of presentations, trainings, competition rounds, and social events at Loyola.
Highlights planned for the March 2020 tournament at Loyola include:
- Keynote presentation by Kenneth Cloke on conflict in politics
- Cutting edge session on online dispute resolution with leaders in the field
- International and local mediator presentations on a wide variety of mediation topics
- Mediation and advocacy training sessions for law students
- Competition rounds with 52 teams and more than 156 student competitors
- Evening reception overlooking the city from the law firm of Schiff Hardin at Willis Tower
- Student welcome reception at Loyola and city trolley tour
- Awards dinner at Petterino’s
