Compliance students can take advantage of a variety of compliance activities and programs, both on-campus and online. We recognize the importance of community in successful learning and our programs are carefully designed to keep students connected to each other and to their faculty members and advisors.

Students enrolled in the JD, MJ in Health Law, LLM in Health Law, and LLM in Business Law degree programs may pursue a certificate in compliance studies as part of their program.

Need to speak with an advisor? Students can email us at lawonlineadvising@luc.edu.

  • Learning Management System

All online compliance classes are offered through Sakai, Loyola University Chicago’s highly interactive, collaborative online learning environment.

Access Your Course Materials Anytime and Anywhere

Courses are conducted in a largely asynchronous mode, giving students the ability to schedule their studies at a time and place convenient to them. The curriculum is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from any part of the globe. Students work through all courses simultaneously on a suggested study pace.

Students complete writing assignments and other coursework similar to that required in a campus-based program, but with the convenience of submitting their work online. Professor feedback is critical to this method and is facilitated by the technology. Students receive extensive comments and critiques of their writing assignments and have direct access to their professors.

Technology Resources and Support

Loyola University Chicago’s Instructional Technology and Research Support group provides a number of tutorials and resources for Sakai and other technology available to students.

Students can access the University’s Information Technology Support Help Desk for individual support using these resources.

What to Expect: The EIW Experience

EIWs offer programming to reinforce learning objectives, provide a venue for networking, and foster communication among students, alumni, and faculty. EIW weekends may be held at Loyola University Chicago School of Law or in a rotating location outside Chicago. All students enrolled in the online MJ and LLM degree programs are required to attend two EIWs during their online studies.

Planning Your Visit to Loyola

Prior to each EIW, students should check their Loyola email for announcements about the weekend, including an agenda and instructions for RSVPs. Questions about upcoming EIWs should be directed to lawonlineadvising@luc.edu.

Students are responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements. Everything you need to know about traveling to the Water Tower Campus, local hotels, etc. can be found in Loyola's Water Tower Campus Guide. Please also review the details in the registration link of your selected EIW for information about hotel rates and the event agenda.
