William Roberds is a Research Economist and Senior Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Since joining the Federal Reserve in 1984, he has published research articles in econometrics, macroeconomics, payments, and the history of central banks. His book with Stephen Quinn, How a Ledger Became a Central Bank: A Monetary History of the Bank of Amsterdam, will be published next year by Cambridge University Press.
