Information Technology Services

The migration of our back-end services from Novell to Microsoft will keep us well positioned for future growth as we integrate new technology solutions and build our capacity to share data seamlessly.

The move to Windows 7 will bring faster processing, an improved desktop, better security, and enhanced media options. And since many applications are now being developed specifically for the Windows 7 environment, upgrading will allow us to remain current with the other software products we use. See the About Windows 7 page for more information.

The move to Office 2010 will provide similar benefits. The list of new and enhanced features is long, including further improvements to the Microsoft “ribbon,” stronger formatting features, built-in PDF support, new audio and visual tools in some programs, and a real-time co-authoring tool for document collaboration. See the About Office 2010 page for more information.

Although the migration project will involve a brief break in service when your machine is being upgraded, the new features and functionality will make the effort worthwhile.
