Labster

Labster is a virtual science lab boasting a rapidly growing catalog of over three hundred laboratory simulations for various scientific disciplines. Labster gives students access to a realistic lab experience that empowers them to perform experiments and practice their skills in a simulated, risk-free learning environment. Labster simulations may be used as substitutes for in-person training experiences or may be used as supplemental instruction before or after in-person labs.

Labster integrates with Sakai through the Lessons and Gradebook tools, as well as with the Labster US external tool. Faculty use Lessons to provide students links to Labster simulations, and upon completion of a simulation, student scores are pushed back to the Sakai Gradebook automatically. The Labster US tool provides an optional dashboard where both faculty and students may view details about simulation attempts.
