Extended Reality (XR)

Extended reality (XR), a referent for the continuum of available technology-based immersive learning environments, includes augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) (Pomerantz, 2019, p. 138). With the goal of providing Loyola learners with impactful learning experiences facilitated by technological innovation and informed by research, ITRS seeks collaborations for developing learning in extended reality.

As part of a continuing drive to innovate learning design with emerging technologies, we provide consultation and learning design services for faculty and staff interested in using extended reality as a central means of lesson delivery. We invite interested faculty to collaborate on the design, execution, and delivery of augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) learning in your courses.
