MAPS - Digital Communication Concentration
Curriculum Planning Worksheet for MAPS Digital Communication Concentration
Our contemporary world is very much driven by communication through electronic media channels and social media. In order to reach current and future generations of youth and young adults, it is critical that pastoral leaders be skilled in the use of digital media for evangelization and outreach.
The Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies (MAPS) degree offers a concentration in Digital Communication. This degree concentration will allow students at Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies to hone their communication skills and learn best practices for using digital media in the dissemination of parish/congregation/diocese news, events, and the message of the Gospel in order to reach a wider audience through social media, the Web and video, in addition to conventional print media. The Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies - Digital Communication degree requires 36 credit hours.
