About

Carol N. Taliaferro, M. Div. joined IPS in the spring semester of 2017 as an Adjunct Instructor of Spiritual Accompaniment Practicum II. In the fall Carol accepted the position as Coordinator of Formation. Prior to IPS Carol served as Administrative Officer for 25 years with the Department of Defense. After retiring in 2006, she held several position at the Archdiocese of Chicago, Office for Peace and Justice, Intern to the Program Director of Catholic Relief Services/Social Justice Education, Assistant Program Director to the same, and Program Director for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).   

Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University as well as completing a year of Graduate studies in Clinical Psychology. 

She holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div) Degree from Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago with a concentration in Spirituality and earned a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Claret Center in Hyde Park, 2007

She also served as an instructor of Catechesis for the Archdiocese of Chicago and was an instructor for the Social Justice Education Enrichment Course at Xavier University’s Institute for Black Catholic Studies Graduate School in New Orleans, LA.
