Comments from Students:
This is not my first class with Nancy and I love her style of teaching. She's accessible, kind and clearly wants to help us each find our own, authentic style. Her ongoing work as a counselor adds a necessary element to this class, and giving us her real experiences is one of the high points of her teaching.
Nancy is an excellent teacher. She brought in her wealth of experience to each class, helping us get a good picture of what it will be like in the real work world. She was encouraging, even of the students who were most challenged with applying the skills. I really appreciated the times when Nancy opened up the room for Q & A about how to work as a therapist and I am excited to learn more.
Nancy brings to the classroom her experience and an approachable style that allows us to ask questions and really learn from her ~ she's flexible and models for us what counseling is all about!
Nancy is masterful at the skills taught and made the learning environment accessible, fun and growth-inducing. She is an authentic role model for me on how to communicate with power and neutrality, and with grace and ease. Her honesty and openness, and the way she taught the skills, deepened my understanding of myself. She is an amazing teacher. I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to be in her class.
I appreciate Nancy's insights, and her honesty and enthusiasm. She is very easy to relate to and creates a safe environment, without which the class would not work.
