Open Enrollment Ends November 22
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Don’t forget that Open Enrollment closes Wednesday, November 22. Please take time to review your benefits, make changes, and re-enroll in flexible spending accounts. Please access Employee Self-Service; users must be connected to Loyola’s network either on campus or via Loyola Secured Access (LSA). For your reference, Employee Self-Service is compatible with all internet browsers, except Microsoft Edge. Benefit changes will take effect on January 1, 2018.
Alex—Personalized Benefits Counselor
Don’t forget to utilize Alex, your personalized benefits counselor, to help you better understand Loyola’s comprehensive and competitive benefits programs. Alex will provide interactive assistance to help you determine which plans are the best fit for you and your family.
It’s Not Too Late: Save on Your Health Insurance Premium
If you are enrolled or will be enrolling in the Loyola Advantage PPO 1 or PPO 2 plans for 2018, don’t forget to sign up for a biometric screening through the Health Maintenance Institute with the site code L773. You can save $50 each month on your 2018 health insurance premium by participating in the wellness program and receiving your biometric screening. Biometric screenings, including the Health Power Assessment, must be completed by November 22 to receive the reduced premium.
Spousal/LDA Premium and Tobacco Use Attestations
By November 22, faculty and staff members who have a spouse/legally domiciled adult (LDA) covered under Loyola’s medical plans need to complete the Spousal/LDA Premium attestation as they complete annual enrollment in Employee Self-Service. Covered faculty and staff also must complete the Tobacco Use Certification attestation during enrollment.
If you elect to do nothing, you will automatically be re-enrolled in your benefits selections from the current year with two exceptions. Faculty and staff who wish to continue with flexible spending accounts are required to re-enroll annually. In addition, if you do not complete the biometric screening, including the Health Power Assessment, and the spousal/LDA (if applicable) and tobacco acknowledgements, the higher medical premium will apply.
