Complete Your Wellness Screening by Wednesday, November 22
Faculty and staff who enroll in one of the University’s medical insurance plans will be eligible to receive a $50 reduction every month—an annual savings of $600 for the 2018 plan year. New this year, employees and covered spouses or legally domiciled adults (LDA) will be required to participate in the wellness screening and complete the Health Power Assessment in order to receive the reduction. To complete the Health Power Assessment, you and your spouse/LDA will need to each create your own account on the Health Maintenance Institute (HMI) website using site code L773. Biometric screenings must be completed by November 22, 2017, which includes:
- Lipid/chemistry profile blood draw
- Blood pressure screening
- Health Power Assessment, a confidential lifestyle questionnaire
Faculty, staff, and covered spouses/legally domiciled adults can complete the biometric screening requirement by either:
- Scheduling an on-campus screening
- Scheduling an off-site screening
- Submitting biometric screening results taken in 2017 by your own doctor or a certified facility
To schedule an appointment to have your screening performed or to submit your own MD form, please visit the Biometric Screening and Health Power Assessment webpage.
EMERGE—Professional and Personal Development
On Wednesday, October 11, Human Resources is hosting a “Stress Management” seminar at the Health Sciences Campus. This seminar will help you manage stress in your daily life and explore other helpful stress management strategies. Visit the EMERGE site to register and for other course opportunities.
Human Resources is excited to announce that approximately 500 faculty and staff members are celebrating service anniversaries during 2017. During the month of October, honorees will receive packets at their homes from our service award vendor, Royal Recognition, with acknowledgment of their respective years of service. Divisions, schools, and departments are asked to facilitate some form of celebration within their respective units as a show of appreciation for these faculty and staff members’ dedication. Listings of the service awardees will be provided to business units during the week of October 9.
