January 2017 Human Resources Updates
January 20, 2017
Faculty and Staff,
We hope your year is off to a great start. Human Resources is pleased to provide updates and announce new programs and services for our Loyola community. Please review the information below regarding upcoming programs and services, including an enhanced Wellness Program created to help you achieve your health and wellness goals for the year ahead.
The 2017 Wellness Program features numerous financial, health, and wellness opportunities on campus. Benefits-eligible faculty and staff who earn 100 points per quarter will receive $75 on their paychecks following each quarter.
Introducing the Go Move Challenge
We are excited to announce that Loyola will participate with 19 other institutions from the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in the fifth annual Go Move Challenge, February 1–28. The friendly fitness competition is designed to inspire participants to incorporate valuable health and wellness activities into their routines, while simultaneously determining which university can accumulate the most minutes of movement in one month. The first 80 people to sign up will receive an incentive. In addition, the Loyola department averaging the most minutes of activity will win a healthy treat. Human Resources will reach out to both the winning department and first 80 participants. Need inspiration? Check out the Go Move Challenge video!
EMERGE – Professional and Personal Development

The University’s Harassment Prevention training is available until February 7. Completion of this compliance training is required for all staff and full-time faculty and central to our efforts to ensure faculty and staff have the opportunity to work in a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus community.
The IRS requires employers to provide employees with Form 1095-C, which may accompany W-2s for tax purposes. The 2016 statement will be distributed to employees no later than March 2. You may elect to receive your Form 1095-C statement electronically or by mail. Visit our website for details on how to receive your statement online.
New Provider: Leave of Absence and Disability Program
Faculty and staff can now report any Family Medical Leaves (FMLA), Disability, Military, Personal Medical, and/or Personal Leaves to Matrix Absence Management. A robust and user-friendly website is available to help you navigate through this process. Visit our website for information on how to report a leave.
Employment and Income Verifications Process Change
