Employment and Income Verification
As you may know, there are many different divisions of Equifax. The Employment and Income Verification services Loyola contracts for are under Equifax Workforce Solutions. Equifax has not found evidence that the recent cybersecurity incident impacted Equifax Workforce Solutions.
The following are resources set-up for US consumers that your employees may utilize. Equifax established a dedicated website www.equifaxsecurity2017.com to help consumers determine if their information has been potentially impacted, and to sign up for credit file monitoring and identity theft protection, which they are offering complimentary for one year to all U.S. consumers.
- Equifax established a dedicated call center at 866-447-7559 to assist consumers.
- The call center is open every day (including weekends) from 7:00am- 1:00am EST.
Equifax has stopped the intrusion, and engaged a leading independent cybersecurity firm that has been conducting a comprehensive forensic review to determine the scope of the intrusion. Equifax is currently working with law enforcement, and are also in the process of contacting U.S. state and federal regulators.
