Opening at LUMA

In Professor Robert Morrison's "Psychology of Creativity" Spring 2017 Honors course, students presented on different Chicago-area artists. One artist, Tonkia Lewis Johnson, from the Englewood community in the South Side of Chicago, was especially admired. A student, and intern at LUMA, was able to create an exhibit of Johnson's work at the Loyola University Museum of Art.

 

The exhibition Tonika Lewis Johnson: Everyday Englewood will open February 6th at LUMA. An opening reception celebrating the work will be on February 9th at 5:30 PM. Tonika Lewis Johnson, who will be in attendance at the opening reception, was even featured recently in the news!
