Christopher Whidden

Senior Lecturer

I am a senior lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Honors Program. Since coming to Loyola in 2009, I have taught a variety of courses, including Western Intellectual Traditions, The U.S. Experience, and Encountering Europe. I regularly teach HONR 101 and HONR 102, where I have delivered lectures on Genesis, Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War, Aristophanes’ Clouds, Plato’s Apology of Socrates and Crito, Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, U.S. Founding documents, the U.S. Constitution, Tocqueville’s Democracy in America, Abraham Lincoln’s speeches, and Willa Cather’s A Lost Lady.
