The Norville Challenge
Allan Norville (BS '60) has given a generous gift to Loyola University Chicago for the Rambler athletics program. Al’s gift will support the construction of a new building, which will be named the Alfie Norville Practice Facility in honor of Al’s late wife, Alfena.
This gift continues a transformational era in Rambler athletics. The Alfie Norville Practice Facility will bring Loyola to practice space parity with our peer institutions, increasing our competitiveness, improving our recruitment, and enhancing our athletics program.
Al wanted more. Al wanted EVERY sport to benefit from his gift. So Al issued a challenge match of $1 million. The challenge is for all Ramblers to come together and match the first $1 million of Al’s cornerstone gift. Gifts made to the Loyola Athletics Fund from February 24, 2018, until the Alfie officially opens, slated for August 1, 2019, count toward the challenge match until the match is satisfied.
