How have you benefited from the Gannon Scholars program?

The Gannon Scholars program has supported me in every aspect of my education. Interacting with my fellow Gannons and learning from their experiences has widened my perspective and fostered a more intersectional and empathetic way of thinking. The Gannon Center has also provided opportunities for me to exercise my leadership skills, network, and learn about social justice. Additionally, the Gannon Scholars program has empowered me to explore my role as a woman leader in developing a more just and sustainable world.

What are you interested in researching? Why?

I am interested in researching a topic that combines my study of business with one of my passions: sustainability, education, or remedying disparities stemming from financial situation. So far I am interested in researching agricultural subsidies, affordable housing in Chicago, or school lunch policy. Whatever subject matter I choose, I hope that my research contributes to rectifying structures that perpetuate disparities.
