Advising Notes

Important Notes for Psychology Secondary Education majors from Advising:

  • An Academic Advisor will register you for TLSC 300A.  If your major/concentration changes, respond to your registration instructions email.
  • TLSC 300A meets Monday evenings from 4:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. Do not schedule a class during that time.
  • Please register for the same section number for TLSC 110, 120, and 130, (i.e., TLSC 110-004, 120-004, 130-004).
  • TLSC 110, 120, 130 are often taught in school settings. MWF and TuTh sections will all be held from 8:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Allow an hour between the end of TLSC classes and the next course (12:15 p.m. or later for next course).
  • Secondary Education: Psychology majors will need to declare the corresponding second major (Psychology) in the College of Arts and Science at the start of the academic year using this form.
  • Don’t forget to check the AP/IB guide to ensure you know if you have any incoming credit that will count towards your Core requirements.
  • Study abroad opportunities are limited to spring of second year (during Sequence 4), summers, or faculty-led programs over spring break and J-Term.
