Robyn Mericle is an Instructor of Art History in the Fine and Performing Arts department at Loyola University Chicago and a doctoral candidate in Art History at University of Illinois at Chicago (ABD). Her research interests include early twentieth century cinema and photography, along with issues of gender, landscape, and ecology. Her dissertation is entitled “Before the Endless Miles of Wind and Sand and Empty Far Off Sky: Desert Landscapes in Hollywood’s Silent Era.” She teaches Modern Art and Introduction to Art and Visual Culture.
