Sherrie Weller

I currently serve as the Writing Program Director at Loyola University Chicago, and am a member of the English Department Writing and Core Literature faculty. I received an MFA in poetry from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and have taught composition, literature, and creative writing classes at various colleges and universities in Chicago for the last 14 years. I am currently working on a memoir titled Across the Lake, which explores being an adopted identical twin, searching and reuniting with my birthmother, and reconciling the role of the Catholic Church in its historical stance on unwed pregnancy with the long-term effects on women who were encouraged to surrender their children for adoption.
