For Faculty and Staff
Our annual Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium will be held on Saturday, April 21st during Loyola’s Weekend of Excellence. This is our premier student event of the year, with hundreds of students presenting their research and/or community engagement work. Please come out to learn, support, and connect! Encourage Your Students to Participate
We encourage you to invite your students from both the fall and spring semesters to participate in the 2018 Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium and/or include the symposium on your syllabi. Students who engaged in undergraduate research or community engagement projects through LUROP fellowships, external programs, service-learning experiences, internships, community partnerships, independent study, and academic courses during the 2017-2018 academic year are eligible to participate. Interested students can register for the 2018 Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium here by March 16th.
We will be hosting a series of workshops supporting student research and community engagement projects throughout the spring semester. Check back soon for more details!
We are also available to share this opportunity with your students. Please contact us at email@example.com to request a class visit.
Nominate a Student
Each year, we are pleased to present a variety of awards that honor undergraduate student scholarship in community engagement and research. If you’ve worked with an outstanding undergraduate student or group of students this year, please consider nominating them for an award. Each award comes with a $500 prize! Find out more about nominating a student for their undergraduate research here and find out more about nominating a student for their work in community engagement here.
Nominate a Community Partner
Have you or your students worked with a particularly outstanding community organization that has been a true co-educator? Consider nominating them for our Community Partner Award for Coeducation! The winning organization will receive $500 to support their great work. Find out more about nominating a community partner here.
Become an Evaluator
A major part of the Symposium is the opportunity for students to have their presentations evaluated, and we rely on the Loyola community—alumni, community partners, faculty, and staff—to do that. Find out more about becoming an evaluator here.
