Regina Armour

Regina Armour is an established educator. She is currently the Director of Equity & Inclusion for the Concept Schools charter network where she launched a organization-wide equity initiative in February 2021 to address inequities across and within every level of the organization. Concept manages 30 schools across 6 states. Dr. Armour is also the CEO of The Armour Group (www.thearmourgrp.net), an organization that provides high quality professional learning experiences around coaching, equity and leadership development. She graduated with her bachelors degree in Communication and her graduate degree in Education from Loyola University Chicago. She then received her doctorate from National Louis University’s Foster McGaw National College of Education and her research focused on the professional and personal transformation of organizational leaders rendered through case studies.

Her current focus is 5G Leadership and how it impacts equity in the workplace ant the recruitment and retention of employees of color. After exiting the corporate arena, her work in schools began as an intermediate and upper grade teacher of biological sciences and math in Chicago Public Schools. She moved to the non-profit sector and led several networks of schools through partnerships with Northwestern University, University of Illinois at Chicago, the City Colleges of Chicago and the University of Chicago’s Center for School Improvement. She has also taught high school, community college and university graduate students.

Dr. Armour’s primary praxis centers on leadership evolution and expansion, innovative coaching practices and equity education using a multi-faceted, systems approach. By crafting relevant, engaging learning experiences for all students—both young and adult, Dr. Armour’s work with educational organizations and not-for-profits resulted in changing their narratives from marginalizing to inclusive...from segregated to integrated.....from surviving to thriving. 

Dr. Armour’s clients have included: Northwestern University, Allstate Insurance & Allstate Foundation, Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, Chicago Public Schools Office of Early Childhood, Illinois Network of Charter Schools and the Illinois Principals’ Association. the Ohio Counselors' Association and Northwestern University’s Educational Coaching Network. The Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business Nonprofit Executive Center often call on her to engage equity leaders, school leaders and business leaders as well as participate in panel discussions and special projects.

She has extensive experience in building collaborative relationships with communities and families and is a certified Evocative Coach gained through the Center for School Transformation, whose protocols help individuals and organizations re-write their own stories that show excitement for diversity and welcomes multiple perspectives.
