Dwetri Addy
Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,<br> Stitch Fix
Dwetri Addy is the head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Stitch Fix. She has built a career around understanding needs of stakeholders and connecting them with the opportunities, products, and services that meet those needs. Although her job titles and industries have varied, she has maintained a persistent focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. After graduating from Princeton University, Dwetri joined Teach For America and taught high school English in Los Angeles. Her work in the classroom made her realize how much more needs to be done to support students who have been marginalized, so with her eyes set on starting her own social venture down the line, she pursued an MBA at Kellogg with a focus in Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing. She worked to hone her business skills by working in brand management for a few years before she was recruited back to Teach For America to launch their first Community Partnerships team in Chicago. Career and personal opportunities took her to the Bay Area where she joined Google's People Operations team where she and her team built the DEI strategy for the staffing organization prior to transitioning to Stitch Fix to build out the company's DEI function.
Dwetri and her family (husband, 17 year old, 5 year old, and 18 month old) were thrilled to relocate back to the Chicago area in 2019. Outside of work, she spends her time listening to podcasts on entrepreneurship, attempting to entertain her children, and when she has the time, pretending she's on an episode of Chopped by trying to throw together meals with whatever she can find in the kitchen.
