Study Abroad

Class of 2026 rising juniors meet SLU_Madrid Associate Dean Dr. Taieb Gasmi for snacks.

Engineering partners with Saint Louis University Madrid (SLU-Madrid) for study abroad opportunities. During the Summer Sessions, Engineering rising juniors have the option of enrolling in Materials Engineering and Statistics courses in Madrid. These courses are normally taken during the sixth semester (ENGR 325 and STAT 203, respectively) of our curriculum. We thank Dr. Taieb Gasmi, SLU-Madrid Associate Dean of Science and Engineering, for his care of Loyola Engineering students. 

Students who wish to earn major, minor, CORE, or engaged learning credit are required to submit their course approvals for review before they go abroad. All courses will come back as LUC credit, but will only be articulated towards specific requirements with the proper approval documentations.
