Lessons learned while in Rome

I had the chance to study in Rome as part of the Loyola program, and I must say: It was a fantastic experience.

Sure, I learned about Roman history and architecture. But I also learned about life in Rome today, which helped me better understand the cultural, religious, and ethnic differences between people.

And, more importantly, I learned how to integrate those differences into the curriculum at my school.

I now meet regularly with teachers, parents, and community members to make sure we're all working together to create a school where all students can thrive, regardless of their background. Those meetings are an extremely valuable tool and a constant reminder of how much I learned in just two weeks in Rome.
