Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois

The Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois is a teacher preparation program providing tuition assistance and mentorship to support the development and success of new, excellent, and diverse teachers for Illinois schools-of-need.

Eligible applicants include high school seniors through college sophomores from Illinois who are U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

They also support Golden Apple Scholars in their early years of teaching through hands-on, personalized mentoring. This is particularly important as the teacher shortage across the country continues to grow.
