Bill Byrnes is a doctoral student in the sociology department at Loyola University Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Social Work from Illinois State University, and his Master of Arts in Sociology at Roosevelt University. Prior to joining the sociology department at Loyola, he was a social worker evaluating homes and workshop programs for people with developmental disabilities. His research interests include race and ethnicity, political sociology, neoliberalism, and poverty/inequality. His work at CURL focuses on program evaluation.
