Meet Monthly to Help a Rambler Succeed
Through the Loyola University Chicago CS/IT Mentoring Program students and alumni or key friends of Loyola engage in a minimum of 2-4 hours a month of one-on-one mentorship from September – May. During the fall semester, upper-class undergraduate students studying in Computer Science and Information Technology majors are carefully matched with alumni and industry mentors based on commonalities in their personal and professional profiles.
The program is anchored by in-person events and regular check-point surveys. Beyond that, mentor-mentee pairs are free to plan the remainder of their monthly meetings however best fits their respective schedules and goals.
Students gain insight and experience through:
- Resume reviews
- On-site workplace visits
- Mock interviews
- Networking receptions
- Skill development workshops
- Advice on academic and professional success
- Career track exploratory conversations
