Kathy is a Software Quality Engineer at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL. This role supports assurance that high risk software meets Department of Energy regulatory requirements and supports communication of best practices for research software. Prior roles included R&D and Validation Engineer positions in Chicago-area tech startups and pharmaceuticals. Kathy is a member of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and American Society for Quality (ASQ), and has Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) credentials. Previous education includes a BS in Biological Science and a MS in Software Engineering. Current part-time instruction supports the College of Arts and Sciences Computer Science department.
