Workshop for Research on International Affairs
The Workshop for Research for International Affairs (WRIA) is open to all students interested in sharing their research experiences with the Loyola community. It is an opportunity for all students, from undergraduate freshmen to doctoral candidates ready to defend their dissertation, to meet and discuss 1) research opportunities on international topics; 2) university and external resources (including financial resources) that support such research; 3) their ongoing research projects; 4) opportunities to present their research at local, national, and international conferences; 5) possibilities for publication of research.
The workshop meets about once a month. If you are interested in joining WRIA, please contact Luke Cesich - lcesich@luc.edu (undergraduate student coordinator), Alexis Schnelker - aschnelker@luc.edu (undergraduate student co-coordinator), Naida Softic -nsoftic@luc.edu (graduate student coordinator), Eyyup Yilmaz - eyilmaz@luc.edu (graduate student co-coordinator), or Prof. Alex Grigorescu - agrigor@luc.edu, (Director of CRIA). All students expressing an interest in WRIA receive regular emails with pertinent information from the CRIA director, to workshop coordinators and co-coordinators.
WRIA was established in January 2025 and currently includes about three dozen students. As it grows, this website will also announce WRIA events and initiatives.
