Tickets and Admission
All 2024 Commencement ceremonies will be ticketed. Students will claim tickets through the Commencement registration site. All students are allowed up to 6 tickets per ceremony. Tickets will be sent to students via email in late April. The sale of guest Commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.
Graduating Students: You will be required to show your 'student name card' to access Gentile Arena in the Norville Center prior to your ceremony. Cards will be available for pick-up in the Damen Student Center Den or on the 2nd floor of the Damen Student Center (for doctoral candidates) on the day of your ceremony.
Family and Friends: You will be required to show a ticket upon entry to the Norville Center (where Gentile Arena is located). Children under the age of four (4) do not require a ticket if they will be sitting on an adult’s lap. Students must obtain tickets through Commencement registration or directly from a University official (should additional tickets be released). Unofficial tickets will not be accepted.
Please note: Students must also register for Commencement in order to participate in their unit ceremony.
The last day for students to claim tickets is Friday, April 19.
Additional Tickets
Students that have requested their initial 6 tickets and are interested in additional tickets should contact their Dean's Office to learn more about the possibility of extra tickets to their ceremony.

Gentile Arena Access
Admissions Policy
Guests can enter Gentile Arena one hour before the ceremony start time, unless otherwise noted. All individuals need a ticket to be admitted to the Commencement ceremonies. Children under the age of four (4) do not require a ticket if they will be sitting in an adult's lap. Children four (4) and older are required to have a ticket for entry.
Bag Policy
Small bags and purses are permitted inside Gentile Arena. All bags are subject to search upon entry.
Camera Policy
Non-flash, still cameras may be used to take pictures as long as it does not interfere with other guests view. Any tripod or other photography equipment may not be used or placed in any area of the building without approval from the Office of Commencement. Selfie sticks are not allowed inside the arena. No video recording devices, audio recorders or cameras with detachable lenses are allowed.
Lost & Found
Please visit the information desk located inside the Damen Student Center to inquire about lost items during the event. Contact the nearest Guest Services staff member if further assistance is needed. After an event, please call Loyola Campus Safety (773) 508-7233 to inquire about lost items.

Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted inside Gentile Arena:
- Aerosol Cans
- Alcohol
- Animals with the exception of disability service animals
- Balloons
- Fireworks
- Food/Beverages
- Hoverboards or Skateboards
- Laser Pointers
- Oversized Bags or Coolers
- Unauthorized Banners, Signs, or Flags
- Weapons of Any Kind
- Any other item deemed hazardous by event staff
Re-Entry Policy
Guests are not permitted to leave and re-enter the venue. Please note the Hall of Fame Atrium on the south side of Gentile Arena, where the Hall of Fame and restrooms are located is considered inside the venue.
Seating Information
Commencement Week seating at Gentile Arena is general admission seating. Accessible seating is available and individuals are welcome to arrive 90 minutes prior to the ceremony start time where staff will assist with directing guests to seats.
Ticket Replacement
Lost, forgotten, stolen, laundered, or mutilated tickets reserved through the Loyola Commencement Office may be replaced only by the person who originally reserved the tickets.
