MODULE 1 & 2: Program Learning Outcomes and Curriculum Mapping
This workshop will address writing and reflecting on program learning outcomes (PLOs) for participants’ academic programs in the context of that program's curriculum. The basics of curriculum mapping will be reviewed in order to provide a connection between the program that students experience and the opportunity for them to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

FALL 2024
MODULE 3: Strategies for Assessing Program Learning Outcomes
This workshop addresses how to use your PLOs and curriculum map to guide your outcomes based-assessment practices. Given your PLOs, what assessment strategies make the most sense? Which ones will guide your understanding of student achievement of those PLOS? How can you make assessing PLOs part of the assessments you do in your courses and not something extra?

MODULE 4: Using Assessment Data to Continuously Improve Programs
Participants will look at trends in their assessment reports for 2023. Participants will look at sample data sets and consider different ways of analyzing data to provide actionable information about student learning in their programs.

Participants will master the foundational nature of PLOs in the continuous improvement of academic programs as well as utilize best-practice frameworks for writing and enhancing program learning outcomes.

Participants will use their PLOs and curriculum map to work on a multiyear plan for assessing their program PLOs. Participants will consider different strategies and tools for assessments.
