Dorothy McLeod, AB, is the Graduate Assistant for the Center for the Human Rights of Children. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Harvard University in 2012. Following graduation, Dorothy worked as a Research Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital, contributing to behavioral and structural interventions to improve child health in Boston. She is now a third-year student in Loyola’s doctoral program in Clinical Psychology.
Dorothy became interested in issues of human rights as a natural extension of her studies in health psychology. Much of her postgraduate research was developed with the intent of eventually informing policy change, a topic that by nature engenders questions about the rights of children and their appropriate legal protection. Dorothy hopes to help the Center in its mission by synthesizing research, clinical practice, and social policy.
