 The summer semester program fee include:

  • Tuition for up to 6 credit hours (2 courses)
  • On-campus housing
  • Optional meal plan*
  • Orientation in Chicago
  • Customized excursion trips and cultural activities
  • Special gatherings and international events
  • Final semester banquet and award ceremony

*Students may opt out of the meal plan 


 

The fall and spring semester program fees include:

  • Tuition for up to 18 credit hours (roughly 4 - 6 courses)
  • A customized seminar course with field trips around Chicago
  • On-campus housing
  • Partial meal plan
  • Orientation in Chicago
  • Two excursion trips which include transportation, hotels, at least one group meal per day, and activity fees 
  • Special gatherings and international events
  • Final semester banquet and award ceremony 

NOT included in the program fee: airfare; visa application fee; textbooks; special class fees*; food; vaccinations; personal expenses and souvenirs; optional travel; and health insurance (required).

Expenses Estimate:

Airfare: $1,800
Textbooks: $300
Food: $1,000

*Insurance: All students are required to have health insurance. Loyola offers insurance which is not covered in the cost of this program. If you already have health insurance that will cover your study in Chicago, you may waive out of Loyola's Student Health Insurance by providing proof of the other coverage.

*Special class fees: Select classes charge additional fees, usually minimal, to account for extra materials and supplies. Example of classes with additional fees: Communication course - $15, French course - $50, Art course - $50


Withdrawal & Refund Policies

The semester is considered as beginning on the day on which a student's presence is required at the Chicago Center as listed on the official Chicago Center calendar.

Students withdrawing completely will have their room and board charges pro-rated according to the number of days spent at the Chicago Center. Tuition and fees will be adjusted according to the schedule determined by the LUC Office of the Bursar.
