FORA supports the Rohinga refugee community through teaching, tutoring, and other means of support. Virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities are available.
GirlForward

GirlForward located in the Rogers Park community provides opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution. They provide three programs: mentoring (adult women paired for one school year), education (tutoring and summer camps), and safe spaces (identity development, curriculum, and workshops)

The Muslim Women Resource Center assists immigrant and refugee Muslim women overcome cultural and language barriers, and prepare them with appropriate occupational skills to become self sufficient and ready to enter the job market.
