The John Courtney Murray, S.J. Forum

The John Courtney Murray, S.J. Forum was initiated in 2014 as a platform for the Catholic Studies community to come together and discuss aspects of their faith that resonated with them. Every Spring, this student-run forum has treated a different facet of Catholicism, via the artistic, enunciative, and creative contributions of Minors. A fun-filled evening traditionally catered by Growling Rabbit.

Seeking the Whole (JCMF 2018)

The Fifth Annual John Courtney Murray, SJ Forum is a student-led, student centered event that focused on the many identities of those who make up the Church, as well as stories of those living their Catholic Heritage.

“Seeking the Whole” references our Catholic and universal identities while acknowledging individual stories and experiences of faith. Join us for a night of discussion, art and music.

The 2018 Forum took place on April 10th, between 5:30 and 8:30, in Loyola's Damen Den.

Seeking Beauty? Our 4th John Courtney Murray Forum (JCMF) will focus on the celebration of beauty as it is experienced through the lens of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. Beauty – one of the original imaginings of God – discloses truth and goodness in the world, enlivens the arts, engages the intellect, and directs the soul.  Join a variety of voices as we both reflect on and unpack our evening’s three main parts: Hidden Beauty, Searching for Lasting Beauty, and Beauty in Relationships.
