First Friday Fitness Classes

Each semester the Loyola Fitness program will offer specialty group fitness classes on the First Friday of each month starting in October 2017. Make sure to share photos and tag #LUCFITFriday on the LUCFitness Twitter if you participate!

Fall 2017 First Friday classes:


Outdoor Yoga
5:00 – 6:00 PM
West Quad (HRC2 rain option)
Abbie Cwiklinski
Description: Free yourself from the confines of the yoga studio. This outdoor yoga class will allow you to focus, stretch, and strengthen on Loyola's West Quad. Hold tree pose among the trees and invigorate your yoga routine. Matts will be available. HRC2 in case of rain.


Latin Flavor Spin
5:00 – 6:00 PM
Shreya Wadhwa
Description: This indoor cycling class will take you on a ride through a variety of terrains for the ultimate physical challenge while enjoying upbeat Latin and Latin-fusion style music. Be prepared for a creative and intense workout that challenges you beyond your weekly Spin class.


Prepare to Fly Yoga Workshop
5:00 – 6:00 PM
Jamie Edgerton
Description: Arm balances are some of the most fun, exciting, and challenging poses of the yoga practice. This class will explore techniques to find the fullest range of motion, optimal alignment and muscular engagement for a deepened arm balance practice. Get ready to sweat, fly, and align.  Recommended for regular yoga class attendees.


Pre-registration is not required to participation in a first Friday class, and participation for all classes are first come first serve until room capacity is met. Once max room capacity is met, no one will be allowed to enter the classroom. Participants are not allowed to sign-up for anyone not present in the classroom at the start of the event.
