CLC-Hunger Week Canned Food Drive

The CLC-Hunger Week Canned Food Drive is an annual tradition at Loyola. As part of Loyola's Hunger Week each year, Loyola Students spend a Saturday morning collecting canned foods for a local partner. This year's beneficiary is Loyola neighbor St. Ignatius Food Pantry. The canned goods donated by our neighbors in Rogers Park and Rogersedge and collected by our students help stock the shelves as the busy holiday season approaches.

If you live in Rogers Park (between Pratt on the north, Clark on the west, and Devon on the south) or Rogersedge (in the "Edgewater Neighbors North" area), Loyola students will be picking up donations on the day of the canned food drive.  On Saturday, November 3 between 9 AM-12 PM, Loyola students will be coming by to ask for donations.  If you will not be home, please leave your donated food in bags/boxes outside your front door by 9am.

You can also donate to this food drive online through the Greater Chicago Food Depository by visiting myfooddrive.org/#LoyolaFoodDriveBy donating online, you can help provide more fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and proteins to our neighbors. Thanks to the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s buying power where $1 buys 3 meals, you can make your money go further.
