Summer Student Research Internship at LUMC Oncology Institute

The Oncology Research Institute welcomes applications from LUC undergraduate science majors for a ten-week research internship at Loyola’s Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, HSD, on the Maywood campus. The internships will begin on May 21, 2018. Student interns will receive supervised research experience in on-going basic science research projects currently in progress at the Cancer Center. A stipend will be awarded to student interns who are accepted for this summer program. The goal of this program is to promote and advance the educational and professional career goals of student interns by engaging them in the planning and carrying out of experiments, collecting data and preparing to report on results and their conclusions. Interns’ work will be guided and supervised by HSD faculty and their laboratory staff personnel. An important component of the internship will be participation in a symposium on July 30, 2018. At this symposium, each intern will give a ten-minute presentation explaining his/her project and data s/he obtained. Please follow the link in order to apply for an internship. Please note that the application deadline is February 28, 2018.
