C200 Reachout Inspires the Next Generation of Women Business Leaders

On April 2, Loyola University Chicago’s Baumhart Center had the honor of hosting C200’s Reachout—a powerful event that brought together C200 Members, Quinlan graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni, faculty, and staff for an unforgettable afternoon of insight, inspiration, and mentorship. C200 is a non-profit organization with a mission is to inspire, educate, support, and advance current and future women entrepreneurs and corporate, profit-center leaders.

We were thrilled to welcome an exceptional group of C200 members to campus for a dynamic panel and roundtable discussions:

  • Myla Skinner, C200 CEO and Baumhart Scholars MBA Class of 2022, who delivered opening remarks.
  • Moderator Karen Greenbaum, Founder and CEO of KBG Strategic Solutions
  • Panelist Dorrit Bern, Independent Board Member & Former Chairman, President and CEO of Charming Shoppes Inc.
  • Panelist Marilyn Skony Stamm, President & Chief Executive Officer at Stamm International Corp.
  • Panelist Janet Muhleman, President at REGROUP, Inc.

Left to right: Karen Greenbaum, Marily Skony Stamm, Janet Muhleman, and Dorrit Bern.

Each panelist offered valuable advice to the audience: Bern emphasized the importance of “network, network, network,” while Stamm encouraged attendees to “choose your mentors wisely.” Muhleman advised, “Be authentic. Know who you are. Know what your values are. Be yourself.” Lastly, Greenbaum reminded everyone, “As you move up in your career, remember to always reach back with a lending hand.”

The panel was followed by roundtable discussions, led by C200 members and facilitated by Jessica Ayala, Baumhart Scholars MBA Class of 2026. These conversations allowed students, alumni, faculty, and staff to connect directly with accomplished women business leaders around topics like:

  • Values-based leadership
  • Personal branding
  • Navigating career transitions
  • Building confidence and overcoming imposter syndrome

An impactful moment during the discussion was on the topic of belonging—a reminder that imposter syndrome can be present at any stage of a career, but community, mentorship, and shared experiences help to push through and grow stronger.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the C200 Scholar Awards, which recognized six outstanding graduate students with a combined $30,000 in financial support. Congratulations to our incredible award recipients: Pia Gaver, Cait Osei, Kimberly Olson, Natalie Pine, Susan Plattner, and Kath Sain!

We are deeply grateful to C200 for bringing this opportunity to Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business. The Reachout experience reinforced the importance of mentorship, community, and access to resources that support women in business at every level.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and to the C200 members who generously shared their time, stories, and wisdom with our Loyola community. Together, we are shaping a future where women business leaders thrive.
