Katie O’Brien-Jensen
Director of Operations in Community Affairs, ITW
Katie O’Brien-Jensen is the Director of Operations in Community Affairs at ITW, a global diversified Fortune 200 manufacturing company headquartered out of Glenview, IL. In this role, she manages strategic partnerships, events, and internal communications that align to the company’s core CSR strategy. These include a total portfolio of over $20 million through such programs as the annual employee giving workplace campaign, a volunteer match program, a generous 3-for-1 gift match program, two scholarship programs for daughters and sons of ITW colleagues, and multi-year pledges and annual operating support voted on by the ITW Foundation Board of Directors.
Katie serves on the Big Shoulders Chairman’s Advisory Council, the Global Corporate Leadership Council of United Way Worldwide, the Board of Fresh Films/ Dreaming Tree Foundation, and on the Executive Committee of Women United at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. She holds a degree in English from Loyola University Chicago, an MBA from Lake Forest, as well as a certification in Corporate Citizenship from Boston College.
As of late, Katie enjoys being an adjunct professor to her children’s e-learning, a school cafeteria chef for her children, a janitor for the remote school location in her home, and in between seeks out moments to write or watch her favorite Chicago pro-sports teams (that alas, seem to be in “rebuild” mode).
