Tuition, Financial Aid, and Scholarships

Arrupe College makes a high-quality Jesuit education available to students at an affordable cost. Most students graduate from Arrupe with little or no debt.

Arrupe is specifically designed for students with limited financial resources, and all Arrupe applicants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid (RISE Act). It is expected that each student will receive Federal Pell Grants and State of Illinois MAP Grants, bringing the total net cost of attendance to less than $2,000 per year.

Arrupe students are expected to live at home with their families, eliminating room and board expenses. Arrupe will also help students secure outside employment opportunities, allowing them to earn additional funds to cover minimal tuition costs and other personal expenses.

Without grants or scholarships, Arrupe College tuition and fees are $14,096 for the 2024-2025 school year. Please note that tuition and fees are subject to change.

This calculator provides an approximation of what a new, undergraduate student can expect to pay to attend Loyola University Chicago or Arrupe College. It is not intended for use by continuing, graduate, international, or part-time students.

The student’s academic information (including GPA, class rank, and ACT or SAT scores)

NOTE: The average out-of-pocket cost for Arrupe College students is $2,000. Arrupe students are not typically responsible for indirect costs related to housing as most students are commuters living with family.

Arrupe College is designed to allow students to earn an associate's degree with little or no debt. In order to take advantage of available financial aid resources, all Arrupe College applicants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid (RISE Act). The FAFSA and Alternative App can be completed online. Please use Loyola University Chicago's school code (001710) when filing the FAFSA.

Once you complete the FAFSA, you may be eligible for several types of aid at Arrupe College:

All admitted students have the opportunity to receive the following scholarships:

Arrupe Scholarship: $2,500
Dean's Merit Scholarship: $1,000 - $5,000
Spirit of Arrupe Scholarship (DREAMer and undocumented students): $2,000 - $8,000

In addition, Arrupe College is a proud partner of The DREAM.US, a national organization that provides scholarships to DREAMer and undocumented students and is transferable to other partner universities and scholarships. The application opens November 1 and covers a student's full tuition and a $500 book stipend.

Other external scholarships from corporations, clubs, or professional organizations are an important addition to any financial aid package.
