What community events planned?

Wellness Fair, Arrupe College!

What clubs and/or organizations are you involved in and what do you do?

Arrupe Voices Committee (support DEIB efforts for staff/faculty) Undocumented Student Career Committee (support students navigating employment/professional development opportunities.

What attracted you to Arrupe College?

I was drawn to Arrupe College because of its holistic approach to education. Caring for the whole student (cura personalis) and building a strong community of students, staff and faculty creates a unique environment where we can all grow and thrive.

How did you get involved in social work and higher education?

Working in community mental health with young people and families for many years, it became apparent that many high school graduates struggled with their transition to college or employment. When I learned about Arrupe College's mission of providing affordable, accessible higher education to first generation college students, I was excited to become more involved and be part of a movement to meet students where they are and offer innovative educational opportunities.

What is your favorite aspect about working at Arrupe? And the biggest challenge?

Supporting students as they grow and evolve as students and young adults is incredibly humbling and rewarding. I feel honored to accompany our students on their educational and life journeys. The challenges are the systems beyond Arrupe College that continue to be inequitable and inaccessible for many.
