A registered nurse is available by phone during Wellness Center hours to assist students with counseling and health concerns and questions. Loyola University Chicago requires first-year and transfer students to complete AlcoholEdu® for College and Haven—an online, non-opinionated prevention program. You can begin taking the program on July 22.
All Loyola students must complete the two-step process to verify proof of immunity. Step 1: Enter your immunizations on LOCUS. Step 2: Submit your official immunization record to the Wellness Center via fax, mail, or in person. Deadline for incoming students is August 1.
The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued a statement to the general public that, “sexually active men who have sex with men (MSM) living with HIV and MSM who have anonymous sex partners or use ‘hook up’ apps to identify sexual partners”, should highly consider getting vaccinated for invasive Meningococcal Disease. The vaccine is safe, effective and available for free at CDPH clinics. Visit the CDPH website for more information.
