The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers two programs leading to the Master of Science degree and two programs leading to combined B.S./M.S. degrees.
This M.S. degree program offers the utmost in flexibility, allowing a student to design their own M.S. degree.
This M.S. degree program has two specialization options, one in Biostatistics and the other in General Applied Statistics. This new program began in April, 2007.
There are two combined B.S./M.S. programs open to Loyola undergraduates: the B.S./M.S. Program in Mathematics (details) and the B.S./M.S. Program in Applied Statistics (details). Current Loyola undergraduates admitted to this program can begin taking Master’s level courses during the senior year and normally complete both their B.S. and M.S. degrees in five years.
