To fulfill its broad mission, LUMA mounts three to four major exhibitions per year in its temporary exhibition galleries. Additional exhibitions, primarily focusing upon the work of Illinois artists, are presented in the Harlan J. Berk, Ltd. Works on Paper Gallery. A list of past exhibitions may be reviewed on the Past Exhibitions page. Advance notice of temporary exhibitions and free admission to opening receptions and all accompanying programming are benefits of museum membership.
Occasionally, a focus installation, the work of student interns, is presented in the galleries of the Martin D’Arcy, S.J. Collection. The text of previous installations may be accessed from the Online Exhibitions page.
At least four times a year, the work of local school children is presented on the third floor in LUMA’s Push Pin Gallery.
