Tivo is a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever who joined the Wellness Center staff in August, 2012, upon receiving his official certification as a licensed therapy dog. Following advanced canine therapy training in Grayslake, Illinois, Tivo completed his education through an extended period of home-schooling under the tutelage of a loving elderly couple. Tivo is excited to be a part of the Wellness Center team and the Loyola community. By day, Tivo works at the Wellness Center, but evenings and on weekends he serves as a faithful companion and unofficial resident assistant in Campion Hall, where he shares accommodations with Fr. Justin Daffron. Tivo is philosophically committed to providing unconditional love through his professional interests, which include providing outreach to the campus community, assisting with group and individual therapy, and hanging out with patients in the waiting room. On a personal level, Tivo is an avid and tireless ball-chaser, enjoys vigorous walks and runs, and loves spending time with all who will lavish attention and affection on him.
