Information Technology & Services (ITS) provides documentation on connecting to Orion and transferring files to your Web space.
While some applications allow you to save your work as a web page, or publish directly to the web, we strongly advise against using these options. Most often these methods will not work with our servers or, at the very least, will be quite difficult to edit later.
HomeSite is available through Loyola core software, if you prefer to work with a windows-based editor. We recommend that you then upload your files to Orion using Filezilla.
Filezilla is the recommended method for transferring files between your local computer and Orion. You can use Filezilla to connect to Orion from a non-Loyola-networked computer, as well as a networked computer. Read the documentation: Using Filezilla: Copying Files to Orion.
More advanced users may wish to use PuTTY. PuTTY is a software program that uses SSH (secure shell) to connect to a remote system. You can use PuTTY to work on Orion from a non-Loyola-networked computer, as well as a networked computer. Using PuTTY: Connecting to Orion.
