Transfer Scholarships

Loyola University Chicago offers a variety of scholarships for transfer students.

You are automatically considered for Loyola-based merit scholarships as soon as you submit your admission application. Merit-based scholarships are awarded to academically qualified students based on information provided in the admission application process, without regard to financial need.

To be considered for a transfer scholarship, a student must have a minimum of 20 college-level credits completed when they submit a transfer application, and have all the application materials submitted by the priority application deadline. In-progress coursework and AP credit does not count towards the 20 college-level credits minimum required for transfer scholarship consideration.

The scholarships for new incoming transfer students entering Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 are as follows:

Transfer scholarships are renewable for up to three years provided the student maintains the required GPA and full-time status.

To be eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Award, a student must be transferring from a two-year college having earned a minimum of 45 college-level credits and a 3.0 cumulative, and must show proof of membership in the PTK Honors Society by uploading a copy of their membership certificate to their transfer admission application.

Outside Scholarships

Loyola maintains a list of outside scholarship resources, but students should also take the initiative to search for outside scholarships on their own.
