Following is a listing of courses offered at select Illinois community colleges which may be accepted for transfer credit in Loyola’s Core Curriculum. Loyola University Chicago's Core Curriculum includes 16 required courses spread across 10 knowledge areas. The Core is designed to reinforce learning of effective skills, including communication, critical thinking, ethical awareness, information literacy, quantitative and qualitative analysis and research methods, and technological literacy and also to promote students' understanding of the values of Justice, Faith and Spirituality, and Diversity which are central to Loyola's Jesuit education.
We encourage you to use this guide as you select your courses. Please Note: These guides do not show all transferable courses. They also do not show Loyola courses that will fulfill specific major requirements. These guides are intended to be used as planning tools.
